The People Behind Pinoy Book Club

Hi! Musta? Welcome to Pinoy Book Club!

I started this website in May 2003. I've always loved books and I wanted to encourage literacy amongst the Filipinos. To me, going to school and passing exams are one thing but reading books are a totally different thing. Simply put, there's a difference between an educated and a cultured individual -- that's a line my mom told me over and over again. That's why I believe it's important that we should encourage reading to today's youth.

I have a lot of wonderful plans for Pinoy Book Club and I'm currently working on one of the modules right now. Rest assured, I regularly check up on PBC. Someday it will be completely functional. I hope that you will continue to support PBC and its ideals.

Thank you,

Ivy K. Tan
